The reason why the pointer of the pressure gauge does not return to zero is generally caused by the following reasons:

  1. When the pressure gauge is adjusted, the nails are not strong. During the transportation and handling of the pressure gauge, the vibration of the pressure gauge may cause the pointer of the pressure gauge to leave zero;
  2. Some parts of the pressure gauge are not tightly tightened. If the pressure gauge is vibrated or considered damaged during transportation, it may cause the pressure gauge pointer to leave zero. For example, the screws on the pressure gauge movement and the lower splint are not tightened. The fixing screws of the pressure gauge dial are not tightened, and the fixing screws of the pressure gauge movement and joints are not tightened, etc., which may cause the pointer to leave zero during the transportation of the pressure gauge;
  3. For some pressure gauges with low range and large outer diameter, when the pressure gauge is placed flat, the pointer is away from zero, but when the pressure gauge is placed vertically, the pointer is not away from zero. In this case, the pressure gauge should not be counted. The pointer is away from zero, and the pressure gauge should not be judged to be unqualified.

After the pressure gauge is used,

The reason why the pointer of the pressure gauge does not return to zero

There are many reasons for this situation, and the specific situations are divided into 3 categories:

  1. Due to the large elasticity of the spring tube in the pressure gauge, the pointer will leave zero after the pressure gauge is used for a period of time. When this happens, pressure gauges with a large range above 10MPa generally account for a larger proportion.
  2. Due to improper operation by the user of the pressure gauge, the pressure is suddenly increased to more than 2 times the range of the pressure gauge, resulting in deformation of the spring tube of the pressure gauge (not elastic deformation), or the tooth of the pressure gauge movement is dislodged, and the pointer of the pressure gauge is lost. From zero, this situation is generally called "hitting the pressure gauge", that is, the pressure gauge will be broken due to excessive overpressure during use by the user, causing the pressure gauge pointer to leave zero.
  3. When the pressure gauge is working, if there is a certain vibration in the on-site environment, because the individual screws of the pressure gauge are not tightened, the dislocation of the pressure gauge dial, the loosening of the tie rod, and the movement of the movement may cause the pressure gauge pointer to leave zero. That is to say, the pressure gauge is not tightened by the worker after adjusting the pressure gauge, and the pressure gauge is repeatedly pressurized during the pressure test process.
